EAST GERMANY
DescriptionEast Germany was for many for a long time a no go zone. It developed in a total different way than West Germany and did create its own authentic culture. Cities as Berlin, Leipzig and Dresden played a huge part in German history and all three cities are very interesting from cultural point of view. Berlin as the reunited capital, Leipzig with its main classical music influence to the world and Dresden as the classical highlight and the old Saxon capital. Even though Second World War bombs destroyed much of the cities, the Germans can take great pride in having restored and rebuild these three cities in fascinating cities for culture lovers as well as very pleasant cities to be in.
