During the Habsburg dynasty, the current nations of Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic (and Slovakia) had Vienna as their imperial capital. Needless to say that this century’s long period contributed to a cultural connection. Furthermore these three amazing cities are located all within a 6 hours drive at the furthest, making it a great possibility to visit all three in a combination tour. All three cities are specific and everyone seems to like one over the other in different aspects: Vienna being the upscale emperor city, Budapest the fast moving entertaining capital and Prague, with its middle age Old Town and Castle sights.
